Professionalism: NDE DG, Silas Agara sent two Journalists to China for training

In an apparent concerned for professionalism, quest for initiative and desire for growth, NDE Director General, Silas Agara, has sent two Nasarawa State indigenous Journalists for foreign training in China.

The two indigenous journalists, Ibrahim Abdul and God’s Power Ede both from Nasarawa Broadcasting Service’s choice for the foreign training is said to be anchored on their unwavering dedication, commitment to duties, ability to deliver truthfully on government policy implementation to the community.

Agara in a statement issued in Lafia, Nasarawa State Capital, said the desire to engage the two Journalists on the foreign training is to build on their professional knowledge, equipped them with modern journalism techniques and make them more useful to themselves and the society in line with the core mandate of NDE.

“NDE plays a vital role in addressing Nigeria’s rampant unemployment crisis. Silas Agara is acutely aware that effective communication is essential for disseminating the Directorate’s initiatives”.

. Thus, investing in the professional growth of journalists like Ibrahim Abdul and God’s Power Ede will empower them to effectively convey the successes and goals of the NDE”.

“As part of this goal, Ibrahim Abdul and God’s Power Ede are embarking on a groundbreaking two-week training programme in China, sponsored by Agara himself”, the statement declared .

“This immersive training will not only enhance their journalistic skills but also introduce them to advanced story telling techniques, multimedia journalism, and digital platform strategies which are all crucial tolls in today’s rapidly evolving news landscape”.

“Silas Agara is optimistic that the knowledge and insights gained from their international training will significantly contribute to the NDE’s mission upon their return to Nigeria.
