KOGI DEPUTY GOV. EXPRESSES GOVERMENT’S DEDICATION TO THE GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT OF IGALA KINGDOM

Kogi Deputy Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Elder Joel Salifu Oyibo has reaffirmed commitment of the State Government to the growth and development of the Igala kingdom under the leadership of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo
During a meeting with Igala community Traditional Rulers in Lokoja, Elder Oyibo emphasized the governor’s deep regard for the Igala nation, citing the allocation of key positions, including six commissioners and the deputy governorship, to individuals of Igala origin.
He noted that despite the state government’s efforts to uplift the Igala nation, resources have been misappropriated by some individuals who later turned against the government.
The Deputy Governor called for unity among Igala residents in Lokoja, emphasizing the governor’s commitment to supporting the forthcoming Igala day celebration. He advised Traditional Rulers against engaging in tribal politics, stressing that leadership can come from any tribe.
Comrade Joel also acknowledged the governor’s magnanimity in forgiving the zone for its poor support in the last election, urging unity for the current administration’s success. He implored leaders to promote unwavering support for Governor Ododo’s government.
Traditional rulers, including Chief Joseph Akpa and Chief Ahmodu Momoh, expressed gratitude to both the Governor and his Deputy for their commendable work. They pledged steadfast support for the government’s success and urged continued efforts to better the people’s lives
