W/African College Of Surgeons To Establish Stimulation Centre In Abuja

The West African College of Surgeons is to establish an Advanced Surgical Skill and Stimulation Center in Abuja, Nigeria

The Center, which is the first of its Kind, is to sharpen the skills and enhance the practical knowledge of surgeons in the sub region.

Speaking during the signing of memorandum of understanding with Driplex Global Ventures Limited firm that is to handle the project in Abuja, President, West African College of Surgeons, Professor Emmanuel Ezeome said Fellow Surgeons decided to put their resources together to address rampant foreign trips to seek more knowledge on practical analysis associated with surgery particularly in Nigeria.

According to Professor Emmanuel Ezeome, the only closest stimulation surgical Center in Africa is in Madagascar.

While commending the contibutions of the Federal Government especially for providing free Land for the Center in Wuye, Professor Ezeome stressed that the center would promote education and research in surgery and bring development to the health sector in the country.

Speaking on behalf of the Firms involved for the development of the center, Mr Bitrus Uga said the memorandum of understanding would be carried out effectively.
