From Our Correspondent
The Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Prof Ishaq Oloyede said that the Board will reschedule the 2023 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for some candidates who were unable to sit for theirs on Thursday as earlier scheduled.
Oloyede who noted that all the candidates that registered for the examination will sit for it, stated that the exam will extend to Friday March 31, and Saturday April 1 2023.
Oloyede while speaking on to issues of technical glitches recorded in some centres, stated that those challenges were expected.
“The examination was held to test specific facilities of the board in preparation for the main examinations.
“We are aware of all those things and we are monitoring. That is why it is a mock, we held it to test specific facilities of the board on a large scale in preparation for main exams.
“What is important is that all candidates who registered for the examination will be able to sit for their mock, those who were not able to write today ( Thursday), we will reschedule them for Friday and Saturday,” he said.
Recall Aljazirah Nigeria reported that some of the candidates who sat for the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) optional Mock-UTME on Thursday have complained of delay in starting the examination and system failure.
JAMB disclosed that about 176,408 candidates are expected to sit for the 2023 UTME optional Mock-UTME.
