Nigeria at 64, Nasarawa at 28: CP Nadada warn violent protesters to have a rethink

The Commissioner of Police, Nasarawa State Command, CP Umar Shehu Nadada has warned violators of law and order in the state to have a rethink and stay away from from acts capable of breaching the peace and unity of the state

The Commissioner in a statement issued by the Command Public Relations Officer, DSP Ranham Nansel orders sufficient deployment of manpower and operational assets across the 13 local government areas to ensure a peaceful celebration in the state.

an felicitates with the good people of the state on the occasion of Nigeria’s 64th Independence Day celebration and Nasarawa State at 28.

While reaffirming the commitment of the command, CP Nadada further assured the citizens and residents of the state that the command would not rest on its oars to ensure that peace and order were maintained l before, during and after the independence celebration.

“While we acknowledged the constitutional rights of the citizens to peaceful protest, such peaceful protest must be carried out within ambit of the law”, CP Nadada stressed.

He said the command would not hesitate to to deal decisively with the violators as the command will not condone any act of violence, breakdown of law and order in any part of the state, and urged members of the public to go about their lawful businesses without hesitation.
