woman arrested for allegedly stealing 7days old baby in Nasarawa

A middle aged Woman, Khadija Aliyu has been arrested by the police operatives attached to Keffi Division for allegedly stealing a 7days old baby in Keffi, Nasarawa state.

Khadija Aliyu according to a statement signed by the Police spokesman, DSP Ranham Nansel and made available to Journalists in Lafia, was arrested on Saturday, 28th September 2024 for stealing a seven days old baby girl during naming ceremony in Keffi

The statement added that the suspect, who has been claiming to be pregnant, attended a naming ceremony Behind INEC office, keffi.

While the event was ongoing, sneaked into the house and stole the baby that was laid to sleep, carried the child behind her back, covered her with a veil and escaped before luck ran out of her

Similarly, one Hussaini Mohammed, a resident behind stadium, keffi, an ex convict who left correctional facility a few months ago, was arrested by Police Operatives attached to Angwan Lambu Division, keffi for motorcycle theft.

The police public Relations Officer DSP Ranham Nansel said in a statement that
during investigation, three motorcycles suspected to be stolen items were recovered from the suspect as exhibits.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, CP Umar Shehu Nadada, has called on members of the public with cases of stolen motorcycles to visit Angwan Lambu Division at keffi with prove of ownership and lay claims to the items.
