A conversation with myself!

Hello self! What is up with you? Great and bubbling?
Yes Jarlath! I have been bubbling, after realising how accidental this life could be. How nobody should be a mould to fix myself into.

Really? When did you realize this? When I saw an aircraft filled with souls, important and consumate, who ruled their space crashed and in one split second became rubble and ashes.

All well dressed to kill, fragranced with the best perfume, shoed up with the best designer’ shoe, strapped around their wrists a 24 karat Gold with a bank account larger than life, perish within a twinkle.

I saw them bubbling with life, with the latest iPhones, making calls with an air of grace and importance wheezed around them, while stepping into the airbus that crashed eventually.

I admired them. I wished I was like them, flying first class, moving around from country to country, closing up deals, creating new frontiers , building empires and cult with an influence that quakes mountains and calms waves.

But in one split second, it all ended in rubble. Eavesdroped a conversation of one of them earlier, visibly talking tough, threatening whoever was at the end of the other phone how he would humble him.

Do you know who I am! Was what I kept hearing. He talked like the owner of the universe, who controls the elements, the firmament, the cloud and the tenth heavens.

I didn’t know he was that powerless, at the face of air turbulence couldn’t say be calm and it was.

I thought he was Jesus or his deputy, sadly he was none , mere mortal, vincinble, vulnerable and weak like a straw.

Let nobody intimidate you! Hold your ground, we are human, with flaws and shortcomings. None is divine with the power of God to say a thing and it happens just that way.

However well packaged, there is always an element of human nature in us. Nobody, however blessed and accomplished, there is always a place one feels pains and frustration. However well honoured and respected, there is always something that would humble one. Nobody has it all. We are human ,mere mortal and our limitation non negotiable.

Respect and honor everyone, they are God’ creation. Admire them in their good elements, they are God’s image. Never envy or wished you were them, always be yourself, improve yourself. What you see, envy and wished you were, could be the last stage of their lives, which could be the beginning of yours .

Nothing more than self!! There is nothing that is one sided. No one fix it all technique. Life, a mix grill of many things, whatever is your mixture, always pray it comes out nice. What one admires in others may be their sour grapes turned into a sweet wine. It seems greener the other side. The truth is, we all have our challenges, until one gets close, looks into their eyes, listens to the beat of their hearts and the smell of their breath, the desire to be like them may be obsessive. Be yourself! The best version of you, not the best version of another, which of course may be your inferior self at the long run.
