In a shocking turn of events, operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) arrested the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Joe Ajaero, early this morning at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.

Ajaero was reportedly on his way to board a flight to the United Kingdom for an official engagement when DSS personnel apprehended him.

While the exact reasons for his arrest remain unclear, inside sources have revealed that Ajaero has been handed over to the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), fueling widespread speculation.

The NLC leader was scheduled to attend the Trade Union Congress (TUC) conference in the UK, set to take place today.

His sudden detention has left many in the labor community and beyond questioning the circumstances leading to this unexpected development.
