Monthly Sanitation: 97 persons, tricycle Chairman arrested in Nasarawa

Over 97 persons including the Chairman of the tricycle Association were arrested in Nasarawa for violating Environmental Sanitation law in the state.
Environmental Sanitation Chief prosecuting officer, Abubakar Mohammed disclosed this to Journalists in Lafia Shortly after monitoring the August sanitation exercise in Lafia on Saturday.
According to Mohammed while Giving a breakdown of the violators of the environmental sanitation law, motorists were arrested in different local government areas of the state
Meanwhile, the Nasarawa state government has embarked on intensive enlightenment campaign against the natural disasters especially flooding which is expected in most states of the federation.
Permanent secretary, state ministry of Environment and Natural resources, Garba Rosha told Journalists at the end of the monthly environmental sanitation exercise that the state government has set in several measures to mitigate effect of flooding and other disasters in the state.
The permanent secretary said already some residents leaving around flood-prone areas have been directed to vacate the flood prone areas and relocate to high level areas. for safety.
