Mystery ! Beyond the unraveling of mere minds at first sight, especially a mind that isn’t initiated into the world of Aerodynamics.

Airborne yesterday, that was all I could think.

Why was the musing so strong since it wasn’t my first experience being airborne remains something I couldn’t wrap my thoughts around.

From a surface, it looks like a mystery, how a mass of weight with over a hundred passengers with their luggages get suspended into the air against the natural law of gravity.

Nothing goes up and remains there without a force pushing it up for it to resist the force pulling it down ( force of gravity)

As long as the force pushing it up is constant, nothing pulls it down and crash becomes difficult.

Do A review of what caused clash, one would discover it is the pressure from up ,rather than the push from below which suddenly fails.

Apart from the body structure of an aircraft, the shape of the wings, known as airfoils which helps to generate lift, the engine also contributes in keeping the aircraft suspended in the air. How does this work against the law of gravitational force?

The engines on an aircraft produce thrust by taking in air, compressing it, mixing it with fuel, igniting the mixture, and then expelling the hot gases at high speed through a nozzle. This process is known as the combustion cycle.

In a jet engine, the basic principle is that air enters the engine through the intake, where it is compressed by a series of fans or compressors. The compressed air is then mixed with fuel in the combustion chamber, where it is ignited. The burning fuel-air mixture expands rapidly, creating high-pressure, high-velocity exhaust gases that are expelled out of the engine through the exhaust nozzle.

The expulsion of these hot gases at high speed in one direction creates an equal and opposite reaction force in the opposite direction, known as thrust. This thrust propels the aircraft forward, allowing it to move through the air and overcome drag, enabling flight.

Take the aircraft as a Christain, burdened with the good, the bad and the ugly. A Christian in the atmosphere of waves and forces of challenges, fighting to pull down, shame and disgrace them. Take the law of gravity as the natural instinct of sin or better still the concupicience of flesh, constantly fighting our desires and thrives to maintain substantial balance in the presence of God.

Take the wings or rather the airfoils as the armor of God in
Ephesians 6:14-17
Belt of truth.

Breastplate of righteousness.

Shoes of the gospel of peace.

Shield of faith.

Helmet of salvation.

Sword of the Spirit

That help to keep a Christian strong amidst the challenges of life in the battle of life.

And take what happenes in the engine of the aircraft as fruit and gifts of the Holy Spirit in Galatians 5: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness

Wsdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety, and fear that help one to fight the natural law of gravity of sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies etc

As aircraft crashes because of malfunctioning in the engine compartment, the life of a Christian crashes too when there is a malfunctioning in the mixture of the gifts and fruit of the Holy Spirit in the engine ( heart) of a Christian.

When next you are airborne, look through the window, a lot of musings would hit your mind. We live in connectivity with other things around us. Looking at them intentionally would open more insights into how we function in similarities.

Look at the birds, the plants and the grasses, one would see some similarities in mode of behaviour or other things that define us as human beings. To a mind that is stuffy in the realm of inspiration, life will always be a mystery. But a verdant mind, a lot would be seen from the simplificity of creation.
