Archbishop Emeritus Patrick Ekpu dies at 92

The death has been announced of Archbishop of Benin City Archdiocese, Archbishop Emeritus Patrick Ebosele Ekpu on Wednesday.

The announcement was in a statement signed by Very Rev.

The statement stated that Archbishop Ekpu reportedly died at the age of 92 after a brief illness on Tuesday, August 06, 2024 at 7.

Rev Fr Oyanoafoh, further added that details of his funeral arrangement will be revealed later.

He urged priests, religious and lay faithful of the Catholic archdiocese to put him in their prayers.

“May he rest in peace and may the souls of all the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace. Amen” he added.
