By David Odama
The opposition People’s Democratic party PDP in Nasarawa state Tuesday distanced itself from allegation by the ruling APC accusing the supported of PDP of destroying vehicles belonging to APC members in Nasarawa state at it’s Secretariat in Lafia.
Recalled that the the ruling APC through its state Chairman, Dr Aliyu Bello had accused the opposition PDP of mobilizing it supporters against the party in the state.
The opposition People’s Democratic party PDP in a statement while reacting to the APC allegation by the Special Assistant to the party Chairman, Comrade Steve Adeka urged the ruling APC to remains resolate and committed to the demands of Nigerians
“It’s laughable for the leadership of APC in Nasarawa state to claim that the End Bad Government Protesters who evaded the APC State Secretariat if at all are members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
To start with, because we are responsible, focused and foresighted, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Nasarawa state under the focused leadership of Hon. Francis Orogu wouldn’t want to join words or issues with the Aliyu Bello’s led APC leadership in the state on matters that are glary for the public view and understanding. Especially, the epileptic case of End Bad Government Mass Protest in Nasarawa State
It’s also worthy of note that, PDP had never relegated itself to street protest against any government without a clear agenda and reason , the party in her wisdom will always notify the security apparatus perhaps not for approval but as a necessary act from a responsible organization .to give the security opportunity not only to monitor but to provide cover for us.
Going forward, PDP is not irresponsible for such acclaimed radical action because we know the value and sanctity of party Secretariat”..
“The APC and her leadership in the state should know better and hold her hungry rejected and irresponsible members who are practically disappointed and dissatisfy with the style of governance and anti human policies of their existing government at all level, responsible for the attack on her State Headquarters Office if any and nothing else.
“As a party we challenge the APC State Chairman, Alhaji Aliyu Bello to file a case against the acclaimed members of the PDP whom he claimed attacked APC State Secretariat in Lafia if he has any clear evidence to that effect.
The part added: “there was no any protest notification letter by any level/organs of our party to the security outfits in the state nor does any of our esteem and loyal members were seen on the streets engaging in protest let alone vandalizing any public or private property, but all the cases of End Bad Government Mass Protest were attributed to the so-called APC members nationwide as evidence in the numbers of arrest, death toll, vandalisation and stolen of public and private property”., The statement added
