RAPNEC NG President Meets with FCT Sector Commander to Boost Road Safety

In a significant move to enhance road safety in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Prince Ogu, President of RAPNEC NG, met with the Sector Commander of the FCT, in a crucial meeting aimed at improving road safety development and increasing stakeholder inclusion in road accident prevention.

The meeting, hosted by the Sector Commander, highlighted the need for collaborative efforts to reduce road accidents and promote pedestrian safety within the FCT.

The Sector Commander expressed commitment to improving pedestrian safety, acknowledging the importance of collective action in achieving this goal.

Prince Ogu emphasized RAPNEC NG’s dedication to supporting initiatives that enhance road safety, stating, “We are committed to working with stakeholders to create a safer and more sustainable transportation system in the FCT.

In line with this commitment, RAPNEC NG is implementing the Pedestrian Safety Project in collaboration with the Global Alliance of NGOs and the International Road Assessment Program (iRAP). This project aims to increase the star rating of Nigerian roads, making them safer for all users.

The meeting marked a significant step towards strengthening partnerships and fostering a collaborative approach to road safety in the FCT.
