The Masses’ Power! Wasting!!

This picture represents a lot. It jumps at me with a pathetic impression of the deplorable situation of this country called Nigeria and the lethargic and complacent disposition of the masses to the pains of bad governance.

The scene here, is the Lion struggling to overpower a wildebeest right inside a valley. It is so pathetic a sight, for the wildebeest , whose fate was sealed and its body an anticipatory meal for the lions.

The life of the wildebeest would have been saved if the other wildebeests standing at an aloof were bold and collectively confronted the lion.

No! They wouldn’t, afterall they were not the very one right under the claws of the lion, pretty off harms ways , they may have thought.

The valley is Nigeria. The wildebeest in danger is the economy, while the lion is the kleptomenic and kakistocratics who held the jugular of the economy badly, suffocating it to death through corruption, impunity, nepotism and insane ostentatious lifestyle.

There is power in unity. Coming together to pursue a common good is as powerful as a tsunami, no power or force can stand.

Imagine how the life of this Wildebeest would have been saved from the deadly claws , insiciors and canines of the lion If the other stand by wildebeests had collectively put up a fight. .

However the power of the lion, they would have overpowered the lion.

Ants are beings that maximize this principle of collective power. Though small and powerless, their energy to lift up weight lies in their collectiveness.

It sounds silly to me, and obviously nonsensical for those wildebeests to continue standing unmoved even when the cry of pain and help from their brother kept on rending the air.

Mumuishly they all stood ,lifting no stick to help. The unfortunate thing however is, each of them as long as they refuse to engage collectively would be a meal for the lions one after the other one day.

For them they were safe, but their safety was momentary and transient.

Where are Nigerians? Where are the youths? Where are the activists? The bloggers? The influencers? The civil societies? All voices gone mute while Nigeria economy goes to the bottom.

The masses are the critical mass here. However armless, the power in collectiveness more than tsunamic force. In the masses is a power, so powerful these hawks and hyenas, eating and feeding fat on the ill and kwashoked economy can be brought to their knees.

It may not touch you now. Just a matter of time all our necks would be wrapped around their deadly claws.

Today is still bright and sunny! Tomorrow may be horrible if nothing is done, urgently too. Remember there is power in collectiveness. From the masses their power was drawn. From the masses too ,they can be deflated! They are because we are. They recieve because we give. No masses no leaders.
