Livestock Ministry will end herder/farmers crisis, boost revenue, increase protein – Engr. Awwal Suleiman …urges govt to be sincere

The 2023 governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Movement(PDM) in Nasarawa state, Engr. Mohammed Awwal Suleiman has said the proposed livestock ministry will end farmers herders crisis in Nigeria

Awwal said on Thursday in Lafia, Nasarawa state that the ministry if properly managed would increase revenue base of the government, boost protein intake amongst Nigerians, generate employment for the teaming unemployed Nigerians.

The 2023 Guber candidate of the people’s Democratic Movement was quick to expressed reservations over the implementation of the good intention of president Tinubu led government to create the livestock ministry.

“Creating a livestock ministry is one major achievement of president Ahmed Bola Tinubu but my dear for the success of the ministry is implementation of the good intension of the ministry”.

“Livestock development required multi facets approach to be tackled with intense supervision, manpower managerial capacity and capability which I’m afraid is lacking for the successful development of livestock in Nigeria”, Awwal added

According to masters degree holder in sustainable development, “leadership goes beyond salary payment for any sustainable development to be successful, government must show commitment, have statistic of all the vulnerable ones and have adequate plan for the sustainability of its development programmes in place”.

Providing these solutions, the astitude politician advocated for the free flow of action plans for both long and short term policies stressing that the nation would remain stagnant if there was no concrete production arrangements to grow the country’s economy.

“We can not make appreciable progress with out productive engagement, involving the youths in our action plan, train and equipping the energetic youths in productive ventures will take the country to another level economically” He stated.

He argued that Providing parliative for the vulnerable homes can not sustain any home for one week, “rather than engaging on all these wasteful governance our leaders should go back to the drawing board and take a critical appraisal of our mistakes and have them corrected”. Engr Awwal added

“Providing short term policies are anti productive, Nigerians welfare should not be compromised. Parliative policies of the APC government can not sustain or address the hardship of Nigerians. The federal government should focus on proposed livestock Development as this will contribute 80 % of the needed domestic and foreign earnings.

While decrying abandonment of leadership responsibility in Nigerian, the PDM Guber candidate who said no nation survive on consumption policies, called for stimulative policies that would help reduce youth restiveness, reduce crimes rate and increase productivity.
