Scores feared dead as suicide bomber with baby on her back detonates IED In Borno State

A female suicide bomber has detonated an improvised explosive device (IED) at a wedding venue in Gwoza town, Borno State, killing several wedding guests with many others injured.

A survivor who spoke to security sources, revealed that the insurgent was carrying a baby on her back when she stormed the venue and detonated the bomb

The wedding which held on Saturday at Tashan Mararaba near the Fire Service in Gwoza town attracted a mammoth crowd resulting in many wounded in the blast which killed the bomber and her baby.

The number of dead persons were yet to be ascertained at the time of filling this report, but several injured residents are said to be receiving treatment at the General Hospital in Gwoza.

Security agencies are also yet to comment on the incident at the moment.
