Bwacha urges Federal High Court to compel INEC to include him on the March 11 gubernatorial ballot paper

The Taraba Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) along with Sen. Emmanuel Bwacha has approached the Federal High Court Jalingo to compel the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to include his name on the ballot for March 11 gubernatorial election.
When the case came up for mention on Monday, only counsels to the plaintiff were in court while the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) or their Representatives were absent.
Barrister Joseph Oguche also announced his presence as an interested party in the matter representing Chief David Kente, a former governorship aspirant in the controversial APC primaries on May 26, 2022.
Explaining further in an interview with journalists in the court premises, Oguche said they were in court as interested party because the supreme court judgement 1st February was very explicit in granting reliefs 1 to 8 of the requests sought by his client Chief David Sabo Kente.
According to Oguche the Supreme Court is the final arbiter and any attempt to circumvent the decision of the Apex Court on this matter would be tantamount to labouring in vain in a graveyard.
Meanwhile, Counsel to the plaintiff Barrister Boniface Yokunbo said he was in the court to hold brief for his senior b counsel but was not authorized to grant any press interviews.
Justice Bala Usman adjourned the case to Tuesday March 07, 2023 for further mention. ////
