A Nigerian solider and an indigene of Okpuala in Ngor-Okpuala, Imo State, serving in the Nigerian Army, reportedly took his own life at the 144 Battalion’s Forward Operation Base (FOB) gate, revealing a poignant tale just months before his anticipated retirement.

The soldier, identified as Command Sergeant Major (CSM) Vitalis, was stationed at the 14 Brigade Headquarters in Ohafia, Abia State.
