Senator Omoworare Commends President Tinubu’s Efforts Amid Dollar Crash

Senator Babajide Omoworare has praised the efforts of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the economic team for their efforts in stabilizing the Naira amidst global currency fluctuations.

The Lawmaker stated this in a statement signed personally by him.

While acknowledging the positive impact on the exchange rate, Senator Omoworare noting some of the challenge of persistent food inflation and fuel prices, despite the currency’s appreciation.

He called for collective responsibility from all levels of government and traditional authorities to address the rising cost of food commodities.

Additionally, Senator Omoworare urged the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL) to explore opportunities in the downstream sector and collaborate with the private sector to enhance competition and availability.

He also commended individuals and governors such as Aliko Dangote, Muhammed Bago, Chukwuma Soludo, and Babajide Sanwo-Olu for their contributions to reducing prices and promoting mechanized farming and food security initiatives.

He encouraged other sub-national entities to follow suit in prioritizing agriculture and food security.
