The World AI Creator Awards (WAICA) has unveiled the first-ever AI beauty pageant, aptly named “Miss AI,” showcasing the prowess of artificially generated models and influencers.

The competition, set to revolutionize the digital landscape, aims to celebrate the technical skill and online presence of AI-created personas.

Contestants, entirely generated by artificial intelligence, will be evaluated not only on their aesthetic appeal but also on the sophistication of their creation process and their social media influence.

The judging criteria include engagement metrics, audience growth rates, and utilization of various platforms such as Instagram.

Partnering with Fanvue, a subscription-based platform hosting virtual models, WAICA offers a grand prize of $5,000 cash along with promotional support and PR assistance valued at over $5,000.

Runners-up will also receive lucrative prizes. The virtual winners are scheduled to be announced on May 10, followed by an online awards ceremony later in the month.

As the competition gains momentum, AI influencers are increasingly securing prominent roles and endorsements. Alba Renai, an AI-generated personality, recently landed a hosting gig on the Spanish version of Survivor, highlighting the growing demand for virtual talent in mainstream media.

The judging panel for Miss AI comprises both AI-generated and human members, including notable figures such as Aitana Lopez, an AI-generated Spanish model earning over $11,000 monthly from brand collaborations, and Emily Pellegrini, another AI-generated model with a substantial Instagram following.

Despite criticisms surrounding conventional beauty standards, WAICA asserts that Miss AI focuses on recognizing artistic creativity rather than conforming to traditional norms. Emphasizing the pageant’s commitment to showcasing the beauty of creators’ work, a WAICA spokesperson clarified that contestants’ responses to questions are prompted rather than drawn from personal experiences.

With the competition welcoming entries from various AI generators, such as DeepAI and Midjourney, Miss AI promises to be a platform where digital artistry and innovation converge, shaping the future of beauty pageantry in the digital age.
