President Bola Tinubu has called upon affluent Nigerians to extend a helping hand to the less fortunate in society as the Ramadan fast officially commenced. Speaking on Sunday in Kano during the inauguration of the distribution of 140 truckloads of rice, graciously provided by Abdullahi Yari in honor of the president, Tinubu emphasized the importance of alleviating the suffering of the underprivileged.

Accompanied by his Senior Special Assistant on Print Media, Abdulaziz Abdulaziz, President Tinubu commended the generous donation, recognizing its significance in providing crucial assistance to those in need during this auspicious period.

“In every society, leadership transcends the actions of a single individual.

It is imperative to lend support to the vulnerable,” stated President Tinubu, advocating for unity and solidarity among Nigerians to foster a better nation.

Expressing gratitude towards Mr. Yari for the substantial contribution of 140 trucks of rice, President Tinubu underscored its potential to mitigate the hardships faced by many during these challenging times.

While urging Nigerians to pray for national unity, peace, and progress throughout the holy month of Ramadan, President Tinubu reiterated the importance of collective efforts in addressing societal needs.

Earlier, Abubakar Danburam, representing Mr. Yari, disclosed that the 140 trucks were laden with 50kg bags totaling 84,000, intended for distribution to over 500,000 households in the Northern region. He highlighted the gesture as a complementary measure to President Tinubu’s initiatives aimed at supporting the less privileged and vulnerable segments of society.
