16 kidnapped victims rescued in Kogi

The Nigeria police says that all eleven passengers kidnapped from the Peace Mass Transit Bus and five others from the Sienna Bus along Ette Enugu Ezike road on February 25, 2024, have been rescued unhurt by the Joint Kogi Police and Military team from Enugu State.

The Commissioner of Police, Kogi Command, CP Bethrand Onuoha stated this in a statement signed by SP William Ovye AYA, the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO for the Police Command in Kogi State on Monday.

The Police commissioner, who says that consequent upon kidnap of the victims, the joint security team swung into action, trailed and rescued the victims, assures that “effort is ongoing to apprehend the suspects and bring them to deserved justice.

CP Onuoha, who commends the Joint security team, also reiterates the Command’s unwavering determination to sustain the ongoing onslaught against criminalities in the State.

He appeals to the good people of the State for their continued collaboration with the Police and other security agencies in ensuring adequate security of lives and property.
