Telecommunications company 9mobile has debunked rumors suggesting that it plans to shut down operations in Nigeria, dismissing the claims as false and misleading.
In a statement issued on Friday, the company reassured its subscribers that it remains fully operational and committed to providing quality service across the country.
“We understand that some customers have recently faced challenges, particularly with Mobile Number Portability (MNP), a service that enables seamless network switching. However, we want to clarify that 9mobile has never restricted customers from porting to other networks,” the statement read.
The company explained that a temporary technical issue had affected MNP services but emphasized that the issue had largely been resolved. While minor delays may still occur due to ongoing system optimizations, 9mobile assured customers that efforts were underway to ensure a smoother experience.
