7 days too long a period for the president to act, people are dying – Senator Adeyemi

The senator representing Kogi west, Smart Adeyemi has called on the president to act fast on the current currency challenges and warned the Central Bank governor, Godwin Emefiele against the wrath of humanity as people are cursing him about the issue.

Senator Adeyemi, gave the warning while addressing Newsmen in Abuja .

He said that the ordinary Nigerians are dying out of frustration to access their funds stashed in various commercial banks.

He told Newsmen that some Nigerians have died of hunger while others have died because they could not pay their medical bills in hospitals.

He further warned the CBN governor not to push the nation into more hardship and deprivation.

He appealed to president Muhammadu Buhari to reconsider the current monetary policy on withdrawals of the New naira notes in the country.
Senator Adeyemi alleged that some cabals are against the current peaceful coexistence of the people.

The lawmaker appealed to the federal government to reconsider the current monetary policy.
