351,022 Candidates Register For UTME Within Two Weeks-JAMB

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has revealed that a total of 351,022 candidates have registered for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination(UTME) in a period of two weeks.

Recall that the sale of the 2023 UTME application documents commenced on Saturday, January 14, 2023 and will end on Tuesday February 14, 2023.

JAMB in its recently Weekly Bulletin also revealed that 92,196 candidates registered for the UTME-Mock examination while 258,826 opted not to.

The Bulletin added that Lagos State so far has the highest candidates with 51,533 candidates followed by Kaduna State with 28,104 candidates and the Federal Capital Territory with 27,854 candidates.

Zamfara State has the lowest candidates with 1,260, followed by Sokoto State with 1,435 and Bayelsa with 1669 candidates.

Meanwhile, the Board has also revealed that it has paid registration service charge of N180,972,400 to Computer Based Test(CBT) Centres and Professional Testing Centers (PTC) where the UTME will be held.

The payment is N700 service charges from each candidate’s registration for the past two weeks.
