30year old woman nab with 124 anti aircraft rounds of ammunition in Nasarawa state

A thirty year old woman, Hauwa Sani has been arrested by the police operatives attached to Keffi Division following a credible information.
Hauwa Sani was arrested yesterday Friday when the police intercepted the vehicle conveying her and recovered 124 rounds of the said anti aircraft ammunition concealed in a gallon of palm oil.
Hauwa, according to a statement issued by the Nasarawa Police Command Public Relations Officer, Nansel Ranham and made available to City Post in Lafia Saturday was apprehended alongside a two years old child of Doro Village in Katsina State.
“At about 1710hrs, based on credible information, Police operatives attached to Keffi Division intercepted and got one Hauwa Sani ‘F’ alongside a 2 years old child of Doro village, Katsina state arrested”.
“Consequently, one hundred and twenty-four (124) rounds of Anti Aircraft ammunition concealed in a gallon of palm oil, one Tecno mobile phone, and cash sum of Seventy-eight thousand, five hundred Naira N78,500) were recovered from the suspect as exhibit”, the statement added.
The police Spokesman said Preliminary findings has revealed that the suspect received supply of the ammunition at Rafin sanyi village of Doma Local government area of Nasarawa state, concealed the items in a gallon of palm oil en route Katsina state before nemesis caught up with her.
According to the statement, Commissioner of Police, CP Umar Shehu Nadada has ordered the transfer of the suspect and exhibit to Force Intelligence Department, Force Headquarters Abuja for further investigation and commended the officers for a Job well done.
