2,091 2023 pilgrims from Nasarawa to get refund of N61, 080 hajj each

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria recently received over 5 billion naira from Saudi authority as refund for services not rendered during the 2023 hajj.

Out of the amount, Nasarawa State Pilgrims Board under the leadership of Mallam Idris Almakura received the sum of 127,718, 280 million naira to be disbursed to 2,091 pilgrims that performed the 2023 hajj from the State.

According to the Executive Secretary of the board, Malam Idris Almakura, each pilgrim that participated in last year’s hajj operation is entitled to 61,080 naira for some aervices not rendered to them during the hajj exercise.

He added that the beneficiaries are to present their international passport and account number to their respective local government and Development Area’s coordinators for onward delivery to the board for payment via account submitted.

Mallam Almakura reiterated the board’s commitment to ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the refund exercise.

While commending Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State for supporting the activities of the board, Mallam Idris Almakura gives assurance that all 2023 pilgrims will get their refunds through their account.

Mallam Idris Almakura used the medium to call on the 2025 intending pilgrims to make deposits as preparation has reached advanced stage.
