2023 Census: NPC to recruit 28,579 ad-hoc staff in Bauchi

The National Population Commission (NPC) in Bauch said that arrangements have been concluded plans to recruit 28,579 ad-hoc staff in this year’s 2023 population and housing census in the State.

The State Director, Hudu Babale disclosed this in an inclusive interview with press in his office on Monday, saying that the Commission is in a critical stage where all preparation has been done so far.

In another development,he noted that the Commission is going to engage the services of twenty-eigh. thousands five hundred and seventy-nine ad-hoc staff that will be posted across the 20 local government areas of the State to conduct the house-to-house and population census of the people.

He explained that the Commission had in the past trained many caders ranging from enumerators, coordinators and specialized workforce and currently undergoing Data Quality Assurance (DQA) for 2 days at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi.

According to the State Director, the four seven hundred seventy-three supervisors will monitor and supervise the twenty-three thousand eight hundred and six enumerators who are expected to work directly with the people at the community level.

He further warn the general public that the Commission’s portal has closed down and anybody who transacts business is at his/her own risk.

The state director further shades more light on the issues of the Commission working during public holidays, “Saying that the Commission would not suspend its exercise even when the night falls with those days of a public holiday, because the holidays also meant for people to stay at homes and this will also give our staff more chance to discharge their responsibilities”, the NPC state boss emphasized,the statement concluded
