NACHPN Salutes Muslims @ Sallah ,Seeks Better Welfare For Members

The President of National Association of Community Health Practitioners of Nigeria, NACHPN, Comrade Kabir Yahaya Ahmed has felicitated with Muslims most especially President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kasshim Shettima as well as Community Health Practitioners on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

Speaking with newsmen in Abuja on the occasion of this year’s Sallah, Comrade Kabir Yahaya Ahmed said although there may be challenges in the country, there’s still need to thank Almighty Allah for the gift of life to witness another Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

He therefore enjoined Muslims to use the occasion in praying for Nigeria to overcome its security and economic challenges.

“What Nigeria require now is prayers by Muslims and non Muslims because the country is currently undergoing some challenges in the areas of security and economy which I believe that the country will overcome one day because most great nations of the world passed through same difficulties therefore Nigerians should unite and support President Bola Tinubu’s led administration irrespective of religion, bribe and political differences to enable the country takes its rightful place among comity of nations ” He stated.

The President of NACHPN used the opportunity to call on the Federal Government to increase its funding of Primary Healthcare System towards improving the health of rural dwellers and combat child and maternal mortality at the grassroots.

While commending the Federal Government’s plan to construct additional Primary Healthcare Centres in the country, Comrade Kabir Yahaya Ahmed emphasized the need to also upgrade facilities in the existing ones towards actualizing President Bola Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda in the area of health.

He equally stressed the need for more recruitment of Community Health Practitioners to further strengthen healthcare delivery most especially at the grassroots in the country.

“Government should also step up the renumeration and welfare of Community Health Practitioners to meet the realities in the health sector and in line with international best practices towards improving productivity and enhance the growth of the nation’s health sector because we play vital roles and very cynical to the development of the sector” He emphasized.

Comrade Kabir Yahaya Ahmed pointed out that NACHPN has embarked on various programmes aimed at ensuring the best practices among Community Health Practitioners towards contributing to the growth of the country’s health sector and also check activities of quacks to avoid sabotaging the efforts of Government and Practitioners in the sector.

He therefore reiterated the continuous support of NACHPN to Government’s developmental programmes in the area of health towards realizing President Bola Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda for Nigerians.
