10th NASS : Non-serving senators drum support in favour of Godswilll Akpabio for Senate president and Jibrin Barau as Deputy Senate president

Non-Serving Senators of the Second to the Fourth Republics have drummed support for zoning of the 10th assembly presidency to South South Geo-political zone for equity and fairness.

The senators who made the call in Abuja during a news briefing specifically supported the candidacy of Senator Godswill Akpabio for the enviable position.

The convener of the forum senator Basheer LADO also urged the leadership of the All Progressives Congress, APC to consider the candidacy of Senator Jibrin Barau as Deputy Senate president in the Tenth senate for a harmonious legislative relationship in the country.

The Non- serving senators appealed to all senators elect vying for the revered position of the president of Senate and Deputy president of Senate to with draw for senators Goodwill Akpabio and Jibrin Barau in the interest of the party
